The talented Evelyn Deetz created this ironic and extreme illustration used on our Beggar Tee exclusively for our limited edition collection Media Dementia.
This artwork intends to represent the common tendency of people to be so addicted to social networks and others' approval to lose touch with reality.
She drew an aged woman begging for likes on the streets while taking a selfie. The illustration is trying to communicate that social media and others' approval became an addiction that can affect people's life like drugs.
Finally, she chose to embody an old woman because, figuratively, it points to how many people waste their lives trying to obtain others' approval while portraying a fake image of themselves.
