New Leonardo da Vinci's Clothing Collection!

Why is Leonardo da Vinci so special?

Leonardo da Vinci's immense talent and innovative thinking made him stand out as a weirdo in his time. But he remained true to himself, and his relentless pursuit of his passions and curiosities allowed him to create masterpieces in multiple fields.

This inspired us to create a graphic in his honor, as we believe his nature perfectly embodies the philosophy of our graffiti and street art inspired brand for weirdos, outsiders, and misfits. Leonardo's boundless creativity, unique personality, and fearless pursuit of the unknown serve as a reminder to embrace our weirdness and trust in our talents.

Despite being labeled as an eccentric oddball by his contemporaries, his boundless imagination and innovative ideas knew no bounds. With a relentless pursuit of his curiosities and a steadfast dedication to his talents, he left an indelible mark on the world that endures to this day.

Leonardo's unique and multifaceted personality was the driving force behind his revolutionary works of art, science, and engineering. His unbridled imagination and extraordinary intellect allowed him to break free from the constraints of conventional thinking and blaze his trail. He was a true embodiment of the human spirit - endlessly curious, passionate, and daring.

It is this same spirit that we strive to embody in our brand. We are inspired by Leonardo's unwavering commitment to his craft and his fearless pursuit of the unknown. His example teaches us to embrace our individuality, trust in our talents, and never shy away from the unconventional.

In honor of this legendary figure, we have created a graphic that captures the essence of his genius. It is a tribute to his extraordinary life and work and a celebration of his enduring legacy. May it serve as a reminder to us all that the pursuit of greatness requires boldness, creativity, and an unyielding spirit.

But genius and talent are not everything. Leonardo da Vinci's legacy is also a testament to the power of stubborn rigor and tenacious application. With over 1,000 projects completed in his lifetime, he refused to settle for anything but excellence.

What is the philosophy of Leonardo Da Vinci?

His motto of "ostinato rigore" drove him to constantly learn and apply his knowledge to each new work, building upon what he had mastered before.

As an applied learner, he practiced a disciplined approach to reach the highest level of impact as an artist and inventor. Adopting an internal standard of excellence with stubborn rigor is what separates averageness from greatness!

What clothes colors did Leonardo da Vinci wear?

At that time people weren't wearing t-shirts, hoodies, sweatshirts, joggers, jackets, and accessories like today. But, did you know that pink was one of Leonardo's favorite colors and that in Renaissance times, it was considered a "feast day" color? As always, Leonardo  didn't care about rules and wore it any day he pleased, along with shades of red and purple. This influenced the choice of colors for our Leonardo Clothing Collection!

At the time it was particularly daring because in Florence, fines were imposed on those who wore purple or velvet above their social rank. For instance, wearing a crimson silk lucco and purple hood was a statement reserved for city counsellors or lieutenants. How did da Vinci get away with it? Did he pay the fines or use his wit to bend the rules?

We may never know, but what we do know is that da Vinci loved curly hair and was often seen walking the streets of Florence with his color-coordinated companion Salai, wearing his short rose-colored tunic and a well-groomed, curled beard. It's fun to imagine what da Vinci's fashion sense might have been like, especially when we see the self-portrait with his voluminous red hair drawn in red chalk.
