  1. What is a Weirdo?

  1. What does it not mean Stay Weird?
  • Our explanation of what is not.
  1. Is being Weird a good thing?
  • Our personal take on this.
  1. What does it mean to Stay Weird?
  • Our personal meaning of the slogan Stay Weird.

1) What is a Weirdo?

Weirdo is just another label created by society to put in a box people that do not fit its usual standards. So, you might also say that a Weirdo is a person who is somehow different from others when considering behavior and way of thinking.

We are against social labels because we believe they create limits that do not fit the extreme complexity of a human being.

Social labeling pushes people to conform to fit into some social group, robbing that sparkle of uniqueness we all have.

That's why we provocatively encourage you to embrace your weirdness, be proud of it, and Stay Weird.

2) What does it not mean to Stay Weird?

In our opinion, Stay Weird does not mean always embracing deviant behavior, because it would be a stretch and would simply create another social category which, in the end, is just another way of conforming.

It would happen because, for example, to be considered an alternative you would need to follow the "rule" of always embracing contrary behavior to the dominant norms within society. Indeed this would form another social label under which someone can be easily classifiable.

Besides, always being contrary no matter what highlights an inability to think. This would bring us back to the starting point: subhumans who can't think and behave originally because striving to be part of a specific social category to feel accepted.

3) Is being Weird a good thing?

Firstly, we must say that within society being called weird or a weirdo is usually not a good thing.

However, the mass often fails to see very positive and valuable features within a person just because behaving differently from the rest.

It usually happens because average people tend to mock and discredit everyone that is different from the norm and proceed to treat them with suspicion and mistrust.

We can find proof of this by simply observing human history. Initially, society failed to recognize the genius of people such as Socrates, Giordano Bruno, Vincent Van Gogh, Galileo Galilei, and many others.

Even Leonardo Da Vinci, who today is considered one of the most brilliant people in human history, has been mocked, deemed weird, and a misfit by many people of his time.

It is clear to us that to do something great that really impacts the world, a person needs to be different, weird, and a misfit, at least to some extent.

For this reason, we consider being weird an extremely positive and, sadly, uncommon feature.

4) What does it mean to Stay Weird?

In conclusion, what we mean when we encourage you to Stay Weird is to always follow your own will without feeling the pressure of having to conform to any social norm to fulfill others' expectations.

Never let society's mockery bring you down to its level of mediocrity and dullness. You should protect the sparkle of uniqueness that you have because it is the one that can allow you to create amazing things and be happy in the long term.

According to the case and personal preferences, an intellectually honest person would translate this approach into behavior that sometimes conforms to the majority's and sometimes diverts from it.

We strongly believe that such a mindset will result in an enhancement of the uniqueness and, ultimately, the happiness of each individual.
