Sustainability at B.Different Clothing
Packaging for Shipment
At B.Different Clothing we are committed to minimizing our environmental footprint while ensuring your orders arrive safely and securely.
Materials:
We strive to use eco-friendly packaging materials whenever possible. Our packaging includes paper or plastic mailers and cardboard boxes, sourced locally based on availability. These materials may be made from recycled, partially recycled, or virgin materials.
PCR Plastics:
A significant portion of our packaging is made from post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastics. These plastics are derived from everyday items like plastic bags and bottles, contributing to the reduction of waste in landfills.
Transparency:
For multi-item shipments, each product is individually wrapped in a transparent polymer bag before being placed in a PCR polymer mailer. This ensures that your items are protected during transit while minimizing the use of additional materials.
Progressive Initiatives:
As of May 2022, we have begun transitioning to packaging made from 90% to 100% PCR plastic for apparel products in our facilities across North America. This initiative reflects our ongoing commitment to sustainability and reducing our environmental impact.
Printing Processes
Direct-to-Garment (DTG) Products:
For DTG products, we use Kornit Water-based and NeoPigment inks, both Oeko-Tex™ certified. These inks provide vibrant colors while meeting stringent safety standards, making them safe for printing and reducing environmental waste.
Sublimation Products:
Our sublimation products are printed using Mimaki Dye Sublimation Ink Sb411 and Sawgrass SubliJet HD ink, both of which are Oeko-Tex™ certified. Additionally, for select sublimation products, we utilize MYSUBLI-E Sublimation Transfer Ink. These inks ensure high-quality prints while upholding our commitment to sustainability.
On-Demand Production
At B.Different Clothing, we prioritize on-demand production to minimize overproduction waste. By choosing products that are made-to-order, you play a vital role in reducing excess inventory and environmental impact.
